Aldrin Thayalakal, has over 200 years of experience in Corporate Finance, Banking and Infrastructure Advisory. His skill sets includes emerging markets and is spread across India, UK and GCC. Aldrin provided commercial banking services, business advisory, assisted equity investments and project finance into infrastructure projects such as power, transportation, airports and water. Many of these projects and transactions were based on a PPP (Public Private Partnership) format. Aldrin has closely worked with multi-lateral institutions like World Bank, DIFD and ADB.
Aldrin started his career with the economic advisory division, Ministry of Finance in India. He went on to be a senior member at business consulting for infrastructure projects at Mott Macdonald, UK. Aldrin moved into investment banking at GIH, Kuwait which had USD 8billion of assets under management and assisted in infrastructure related investments. He was working as a senior corporate finance team member with Gulf Bank in Kuwait and looking at transactions in M&A, debt syndication and bonds in the range of USD 10 to 300 mln. He also developed strong relationships in the GCC region after spending 11 years there.
He holds a MA in Economics and is a licensed FSA (http://fsa.sasb.org), CPA and CFA.
