Boris joined Endeavour Capital in 2017 having immigrated to New Zealand with his family from Bulgaria. Boris came to New Zealand after leaving a position as a Partner and co-Chief Investment Officer of 11 Index Fund, a Bulgarian Venture Capital fund targeting fast growing new tech ventures in Central & Eastern Europe, with a successful portfolio of 116 companies.
Boris has a great wealth of experience in the areas of the financial services industry, beginning his career as part of the global mergers and acquisitions group at Enron before moving into a position as a Vice-President at SG Barr Devlin in New York City, where he provided M&A advisory services to global utilities companies.
Following his time in the United States, Boris returned to Bulgaria where he was a managing partner at a hedge fund - Marco Polo Wealth Management - which focused on quantitative capital structure arbitrage. Boris then moved to work with EuroHold, one of the largest Bulgarian financial services companies with 3,400 employees across 7 countries, where he held the positions of Deputy-chairman of the Board, Head of Asset Management and Head of M&A. Following EuroHold, Boris began at 11 Index Fund.
Boris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the American University in Bulgaria, an MBA in Finance from Thunderbird (The American Graduate School of Int'l Management) and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Arizona State University.
