Sir Neville Jordan Lauded
at CIO Awards

Sir Neville Jordan has been awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Technology in New Zealand award at the 2015 CIO Summit Awards held at the Langham last night.

Jordan’s work in the ICT industry, including founding MAS Technology and Endeavour Capital, his investment in more than 35 start-ups and early stage companies across the science, technology, research and real estate businesses was highlighted. His efforts as an adviser to government research and science agencies was also noted.

The awards recognised individuals and teams that had shown leadership, innovation and foresight in their contribution to ICT and businesses.

Judge Wendy Bussen said this year’s finalists were inspiring. “We recognise that high performing technology professionals, no matter where they are in their career path, have a positive impact on their employer, customers, suppliers and taxpayers.

“This year, we were inspired by the professionals who are leading projects to help young people engage in ICT and in the process are creating a pipeline of future talent.”

This included the Engaging Youth in ICT winners, OMG Tech and the Pam Fergusson Charitable Trust, and Emerging ICT Leader Robert Muller from DB Breweries. Foodstuffs South Island won the Executive Team of the Year award and Foodstuffs North Island CIO Peter Muggleston won the CIO of the Year Award.
